Panasonic's security cameras are available with a selection of lenses that provide a different range of visual perspectives to suit each security zone. The Day/Night feature allows the capture of images in variable lighting conditions. The camera switches from normal color mode to special low light setting when it senses dusk approaching and can be set manually. Some models have built-in motion sensors.

Digital and Analog Security Recorders

Panasonic's digital security recorders take advantage of the improved storage capacity of digital storage and retrieval. Digital recording is a growing industry and allows instant access to video unlike the slow and cumbersome operation of taped video recording and viewing. Panasonic offers software that allows you to search through video recordings quickly and to easily locate recorded times or events. The digital security recorders use a proprietary digital compression method that offers twice the compression rate of typical compression algorithms. Another outstanding feature is the capability to search types of motion detected in the video. You can search by area of the screen, duration of the motion and even direction of motion.

Panasonic Analog security video recorders offer stand time lapse video. You can record to S-VHS, and S-VHS ET. These formats can improve time-lapse recording up to 960 hours on a T-120, while still allowing careful analysis of video imagery.
