Installing On WindowsInstalling Magnetic Contact Sensors on Windows Magnetic contact sensors usually come in three parts: a plastic housing, a switch and one or two magnets. The switch is attached to the fixed part of the window while one or two magnets are set beside on the mobile part of the window. If there are two magnets available, they can be set a few inches apart on the window so the contact with the switch can be set to either one. One magnet can be positioned for the closed window and the other magnet set up higher for when the window is open. The system then can be set with the window closed or open since the magnetic contact is intact in either position. Advertiser Links
