Installing Motion Sensors

You should position your motion sensors so that people are walking across the sensor rather than toward it. The sensor needs to point level across the room, not upward or downward.

The best placement is on a wall where it can cover both a door and a window. If you have pets bring them in the room and test out the sensitivity setting of your alarm so that the animal doesn't set it off by walking through a room or jumping onto furniture.

When installing your motion sensors, always follow the manufacturer's instructions.
